1961 Time Capsule Discovered Downtown

The rubble of the recently demolished State Office building has offered up an interesting relic from Downtown's past. While cleaning up the site, The Cleveland Wrecking Company crew discovered a time capsule marked "1961 A.D." Located in the original building's cornerstone, the capsule contained business cards, four cent postage stamps, rolls of Kodak film, newspapers, and official papers related to the structure's dedication ceremony. The news articles boast intriguing headlines that make reference to Marilyn Monroe leaving rehab and Richard Nixon vowing that he would not run for Governor.
